Summer Camp

July 18 – 20, 2019

The Maryland Terps Soccer Camp is open to all players going in to 6th grade up until 12th grade. The camp is the perfect venue for players aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Players will get an up close and personal look at the UMD women’s soccer staff and team – which may be a glimpse of their future.

Our goal is to have each player improve her soccer skills, techniques, strategies, and tactics through individual training and challenging game competition. Emphasis will also be placed on developing a winning attitude, enjoying the sport and making new friends.

Our philosophy is for each player to have fun doing whatever it is that she desires to accomplish in soccer. Learning the game one step at a time, while emphasizing the fundamentals, will prepare each camper to reach her potential.

There will be goalkeeper training by assistant coach Yewande Balogun. Each morning and afternoon players will train and learn methods and strategies of goalkeeping. We coach the most important topics that are seen in the game including breakaways, crosses, highballs, tipping, distribution, shot stopping, angle play and more.

Elite Forwards Camp

July 13 – 14, 2019

The Maryland Terps Elite Forwards Camp is open to all elite level players going in to 6th grade up until 12th grade. This camp is specifically for forwards and goalkeepers who are up for the challenge!

This camp is the perfect venue for players aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Players will get an up close and personal look at the UMD women’s soccer staff and a few current Terp players – which may be a glimpse of their future.

Our goal is to have each attacking player improve all aspects of her game in the attacking third, including her movement off the ball, combination play, ball striking techniques, crossing and finishing strategies, and tactics. All players will have a chance to develop through individual training and challenging finishing game competitions. Goalkeepers will get plenty of action in the goal in various situations and will receive individualized instruction from our goalkeeper coach.

Parking For ID Clinics

There are two different locations for our ID clinics.

ID clinics outside will be held on the practice grass field next to the UMD Varsity Teamhouse. Some parking restrictions are lifted on the weekends but please be aware of where you park. Parents and players can park in Lot 1, Regents Drive garage, Lot B or Lot RR. Please check out the UMD Campus map to see the parking lots where players can park.

ID clinics inside will be held at our UMD Indoor Bubble, located next to the UMD golf course. The address is 3800 Golf Course Road, College Park, MD 20742. Parents and players can park in the parking lot just outside the bubble.

Parking For Summer Camp

Upon arrival onto the UMD Campus, please look for Soccer Camp directional signs. Drivers will be greeted by UMD Camp Parking Attendants that will give you a yellow hang tag parking permit and let you know where to park your vehicle and register for camp.

All vehicles must be parked in a numbered lot, metered space or in a cashier attended area. In order to park in a numbered lot (1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 11) you must display the yellow hang tag parking permit you were given upon arrival on the UMD Campus.

*If you do not have a yellow hang tag permit, you can park in one of the four cashier attended lots on campus: Stadium Drive Garage, Union Lane Garage, Paint Branch and Colonnade Dr. Rates are posted at the entrance to each facility.

Players will receive their dorm assignments during check-in.
